Commissioner Abinash Mishra Gave Instructions To Give Priority To The Swachh Survey Campaign And Revenue Collection Work

Raipur – Today, on the instructions of Raipur District Collector and Municipal Corporation Administrator Dr Gaurav Kumar Singh, Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra held a weekly review meeting in the third floor hall of the Municipal Corporation Headquarters Building, Mahatma Gandhi Sadan, and after taking information about the progress of various works, gave necessary instructions to the officers after reviewing them. Commissioner Abinash Mishra held a weekly review meeting in the presence of Additional Commissioner Rajendra Prasad Gupta, US Agarwal, Mrs. Krishna Khatik, Deputy Commissioner Jasdev Singh Babra, Dr. Divya Chandravanshi, Joint Director Finance Dinesh Nirmalkar, Health Officer Dr. Tripti Panigrahi, Zone Commissioners, Executive Engineers, officers in charge of departments, and directed the officers to give priority to the Swachh Survey Campaign and revenue collection work. It is notable that recently the Commissioner had sent Additional Commissioner Rajendra Prasad Gupta to Zone 2, Additional Commissioner US to Zone 3 for zone tour to coordinate and review the Swachh Survey work, revenue collection work, construction work plans. Agarwal has been given the responsibility of Officer In Charge of Zone 5, Pankaj Sharma for Zone 6, Vinod Pandey for Zone 3, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Anjali Sharma for Zone 9, Jasdev Singh Babra for Zone 1, Mrs. Preeti Singh for Zone 8, Dr. Divya Chandravanshi for Zone 10, Revenue Officer Khirsagar Nayak for Zone 7, Corporation Secretary Suryakant Shrivastava for Zone 4. The Officer In Charge of the Zone along with the concerned Zone Commissioner, Executive Engineer, Assistant Engineer, Zone Health Officer, Assistant Revenue Officer, Ward Incharge are visiting the wards of the concerned zone daily and resolving the problems in this regard.

In the meeting, the commissioner directed the officers that in the Swachh Survey campaign, public participation towards cleanliness has to be done at mohalla level, colony level, by the residents of the colony. The polluted water coming out of the colony should be treated and reused by the residents’ association and the wet waste generated by them should be home composted. Rain water harvesting should be done in the colony. The cleanest mohalla, the cleanest hotel, the cleanest market, the cleanest school, the cleanest hospital, the cleanest institution, the cleanest office, etc. are to be identified and honored. The brand ambassador has to do the work of cleanliness awareness in various areas. IEC (public awareness in the field of cleanliness) will have to be promoted by the public representatives. Recovery should be done for user charge. To make people aware about cleanliness, spot fine should be imposed for spreading dirt, fine should be imposed for burning garbage, fine should be imposed for urinating and defecating in the open. Fine to be imposed on use of banned plastic like polythene and single use plastic. Utensil bank, food bank, clothes bank, bag bank and book bank to be set up in each zone. Loan fair to be organised in each zone. Arrangement of stand alone urinals (at multi-level parking, ISBT, Nalanda campus and other places). Home composting to be encouraged in homes in the wards.

Wards to be made self-reliant such as disposal of wet waste from homes (by making compost) and dry waste can be made self-reliant by disposing of it by 3R principle (reduce, reuse, recycle). The Commissioner has directed the zone commissioners to take necessary action in this regard. Necessary instructions have been given to the officers regarding the preparation of 7 stars in Garbage Free City 2024 assessment, preparation to be done in shops and commercial areas, preparation to be done in C&D waste plant collection and segregation, preparation to be done in transport hubs, preparation to be done in residential areas, preparation to be done in educational and institutional areas, preparation to be done in ponds, preparation to be done at field level for Water Plus 2024 assessment, preparation to be done in slum areas, residential area, commercial area, public area, transport area, construction area, industrial area, water bodies in roads and routes, sewerage treatment plant. The Commissioner has directed the officers to do the work of revenue collection in all the wards of all zones on a door to door basis on priority basis through a daily campaign. Instructions have been given to issue demand notes for tax collection in commercial areas, hotels, business complexes, malls, large residential complexes and colonies and to ensure collection of revenue.
