Raipur, March 30, 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while specially mentioning the Bastar Olympics in a program organized at Mohbhatta in Bilaspur today, said that thousands of people participated in this event. I see a bright future for the youth of Chhattisgarh. The successful and spectacular organization of Bastar Olympics is a proof of a pleasant change. Chhattisgarh is full of resources, dreams and potential. 25 years from today, when we celebrate the 50th year of the establishment of Chhattisgarh, Chhattisgarh will be one of the leading states of the country. Youth, Bastar Olympics winning participants, Lakhpati Didi, elected officials of urban bodies and three-tier panchayats had reached Mohbhatta to see and listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the program, the winning participants of Bastar Olympics kept waving the picture of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai in their hands and also raised slogans of Prime Minister Zindabad in between. The enthusiasm of the participants of Bastar Olympics was worth seeing. He expressed his gratitude to the Prime Minister for the work done under the leadership of the double engine government in the last one and a quarter years for the overall development of Bastar and the betterment of the people there.

It is worth mentioning here that after the Naxal violence weakened, Bastar Olympics was organized to boost the enthusiasm of people. More than 1 lakh 65 thousand players took part in it. People who had lost their limbs due to Naxal violence also took part in it. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in his Mann ki Baat programme in December, praised Bastar Olympics and called it a symbol of the changing Bastar. On the special initiative of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, women in the state of Chhattisgarh are being economically empowered by linking them with livelihood-based activities. So far, 2.25 lakh women in Chhattisgarh have come under the category of Lakhpati Didi. In this financial year, a target has been set to bring 10 lakh women under the category of Lakhpati Didi.
