Youth Have An Important Role In Realizing The Dream Of A Developed India: Vice President Dhankhar

Raipur 21 January 2025: Vice President  Jagdeep Dhankhar, while addressing the students of NIT, IIT and IIM in the program ‘Kalpanayen: Behtar Bharat Ki’ at Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital Raipur today, said that the youth have an important role in realizing the dream of a developed India. Vice President  Jagdeep Dhankhar, while interacting with the students, said that all of you are studying in the prestigious educational institutions of the country. State-of-the-art technology is being taught in these institutions. New technologies like AI machine learning, green hydrogen are being promoted in the country. The Vice President said that when India celebrates the centenary of its independence in 2047, then this dream of a strong and developed India will not only become a goal but a sure destination. Vice President  Dhankhar said that India is moving towards becoming a world leader again thanks to the youth. Calling for the use of indigenous goods, he said that every citizen of the country can contribute to strengthening India by not using imported goods. Governor  Ramen Deka said that a strong India must be self-reliant as well as globally connected. This vision can be realised by promoting a strong culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. By empowering rural communities through sustainable agriculture, promoting tribal entrepreneurship and investing in state-of-the-art infrastructure, Chhattisgarh can become a beacon of inclusive and sustainable development.

Governor Deka said that our youth are the architects of tomorrow. They should be equipped with skills that integrate traditional knowledge with cutting-edge technologies. Skill development programmes and promoting self-reliance will lay the foundation of a resilient economy and a united society. Industry-related education and leading research institutes must be promoted to prepare our youth for global challenges. Chief Minister  Vishnu Dev Sai said that to build a prosperous India, we must deeply study and develop a deep understanding of our glorious history and eternal traditions. India has been a world leader since ancient times. Universities like Takshila and Nalanda were renowned all over the world. The society that learns from the events of its past is the one that can realize the dream of a prosperous future.

Chief Minister  Sai said that to build a better India, we must understand the challenges facing the country. Today, whether it is semiconductors or space technology, our country has rapidly moved towards becoming self-reliant. He said that we are working on Green GDP to deal with the challenge of climate change. Along with measures to reduce carbon emissions, we are promoting green steel. Wherever challenges are present, there are possibilities hidden. On this occasion, Vice President Shri Dhankhar laid the foundation stone of the girls hostel to be built in the NIT campus. The girls hostel to be built in the NIT campus will be built by SECL from CSR funds. Vice President’s wife Dr. Sudesh Dhankhar, Deputy Chief Minister  Vijay Sharma, Union Minister of State for Housing and Urban Development Tokhan Sahu, Chairman Board of Governors NIT  Suresh Haware, CMD SECL Dr. PS Mishra, IIT Director Prof. Rajiv Prakash, IIM Director Prof. R.K. Kakani, NIT Director Prof. NV Ramanna Rao along with scholars, students of NIT, IIM and IIT were present in large numbers in the program.
