Zoo park to be built in Dantewada district: Organic fertilizers will be made available in all lamps

During his stay at Bacheli, the Chief Minister inaugurated and performed Bhoomi Pujan of development works worth more than Rs 160 crore

Raipur 13 January 2025: Maoists are in favor of bloodshed and terror, we are working for development and harmony. Now the picture of Bastar is changing rapidly. Where there was once the echo of bullets, now the trumpet of development is heard. Where there was once unemployment and helplessness, the rural youth of this district are being made self-reliant by providing higher education and employment. We will not rest until we eradicate Maoism from its roots. We will not let the martyrdom of our martyred soldiers go in vain Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said this while addressing the inauguration and foundation stone laying program of various development works organized at Kirandul Bacheli in Dantewada district today. Chief Minister Sai said that the wheel of development is moving fast in the double engine government. To realize the dream of our illustrious Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji of a developed India, we are trying to make developing Chhattisgarh a developed Chhattisgarh under Vision 2047 Chhattisgarh.

Chief Minister Sai said that today we have inaugurated and performed bhoomipujan of 501 works worth Rs 160 crore in Kirandul, Bade Bacheli of Dantewada district. These include inauguration of 367 works worth Rs 49 crore and bhoomipujan of 134 works worth Rs 112 crore. Also on this occasion, we are also distributing cheques and material for beneficiary-oriented works worth Rs 114 crore. The major development works inaugurated today include a bridge worth Rs 33 crore on the Chhindnar to Badekarka road in Geedam block, bridges and culverts worth Rs 1 crore in all the development blocks of the district, widening and strengthening of Geedam, Kuakonda, Katekalyan road. Apart from this, we have also handed over the keys of concrete houses built for 321 beneficiaries at a cost of Rs 7.25 crore under More Makaan-More Awas. We have just performed Bhoomi Pujan for the establishment of water supply and water purification plants worth about Rs 45 crore in Kirandul and Rs 15 crore in Barsoor, inter-state bus stand in Dantewada and construction of ashram buildings in all the development blocks of Dantewada district.

Chief Minister Sai said that you all know that our government has completed one year of good governance. During this one year, we have fulfilled Modi ji’s guarantee with full guarantee. Our government organized Bastar Olympics for the first time in which about 1 lakh 65 thousand people participated. The successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi also praised this event in Mann Ki Baat. Our government is continuously working in the interest of the poor villagers and farmers. Our government is increasing the remuneration for tendu leaf collectors from Rs. 4 thousand to Rs. 5.5 thousand per standard sack. Due to this, a change has started to be seen in the living standards of the forest dwellers. Under the Niyad Nellnar Yojana, the Agriculture Department has made preparations to distribute power sprayers worth Rs. 48 lakhs and power trailers worth Rs. 1 crore 70 lakhs to all the identified 765 farmers of the district soon. Under the Niyad Nellnar Yojana, free mobile phones are being distributed to 1200 families. Due to this, the villagers of remote areas will be able to connect with the mainstream. To ensure the convenience of transportation in remote areas, 37 vehicles are being operated through women groups and youth organizations at a cost of about Rs. 4 crores under the Jan Suvidha Express Abhiyan. Chief Minister Sai said that there is a large presence of mothers and sisters here. This is proof that every month one thousand rupees is being deposited in their accounts. Recently, on the first day of this year, we deposited money in the accounts of mothers and sisters. This has strengthened women empowerment.

Chief Minister Sai said that our government is continuously working in the interest of the village-poor and farmers. Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay ji had dreamed of the development of Antyodaya. We are all engaged in fulfilling it together. Prime Minister Modi ji’s dream is that no Indian will sleep under the open sky. Every citizen will have a permanent house. In this episode, as soon as our government was formed, we approved more than 18 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas. He said that Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has again approved 3 lakh 88 thousand houses.

Chief Minister Sai, while referring to Awas Plus, said that in the year 2024, many people were deprived of the benefits of the housing scheme, along with this, along with having other resources related to vehicle, income and land, they were out of the scope of the housing scheme, for them survey work has been started under the Awas Plus scheme. And soon they will be added to the list. He told that farmers with 2.5 acres of irrigated and 5 acres of non-irrigated land will also be beneficiaries of the housing scheme. The Chief Minister said that our government is committed to providing good governance to the last person by focusing on education, health, irrigation resources and maintenance of roads.

He said that Dantewada district is a leading district in mineral wealth and organic farming. Therefore, the state government is committed to the all-round development of the region. Soon, a “zoo park” will also be constructed in the district with a view to promote wildlife conservation and tourism. Apart from this, organic manure will be made available in all lamps and ration shops to give importance to organic farming. Chief Minister Sai extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to everyone on the occasion of Chherchhera and Makar Sankranti, the great festival of charity. Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap, while presiding over the program, said in his address that under the leadership of the government for one year, Dantewada district is moving on the path of progress. Many schemes are being run in the district which will prove to be an example at the state and national level. In the general meeting, MP Bastar Mahesh Kashyap and MLA of the area Chaitram Atami also highlighted the development works of the district. On this occasion, DIG Kamalochan Kashyap, Collector Mayank Chaturvedi, SP  Gaurav Rai, DFO Sagar Jadhav and other officers of the district administration and dignitaries were present.
