Raipur 22 June 2025: Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah chaired a review meeting on Naxalism with DGP/ADGP and senior officials of Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Jharkhand and Odisha in Raipur. The Union Home Minister said that the biggest achievement of Vishnudev ji’s government and Deputy Chief Minister and Home Minister Vijay Sharma ji in the last one and a half years is that they have run a stalled anti-Naxal campaign at a fast pace and have moved forward towards making the state free from Naxalism. He said that Vishnudev ji and Vijay Sharma ji not only sharpened the anti-Naxal operations, but also guided this campaign from time to time, also boosted the morale of the security forces and made a huge contribution in this fight with totality.
The Union Home and Cooperation Minister reiterated with confidence that the country will be completely free from Naxalism by March 31, 2026. He said that on the basis of the way our security forces have shown valor and the accurate strategy made by the information agencies, we will definitely achieve this goal. He said that the Naxalites who rest every year during the rainy season will not be able to sleep peacefully this rainy season because the operation of our security forces will continue. The Union Home and Cooperation Minister appealed to all the youth who have gone astray on the path of Naxalism to lay down their arms and take advantage of the surrender policy of the state government. Appealing to the youth, he said that they will not get a better opportunity than this to join the development journey. Shah said that the youth walking on the path of violence should trust the government and join the mainstream of the society. In this way, they will automatically join the country’s development journey. Shah said that the promises made by the government to the surrendered Naxalites will be fulfilled and efforts will be made to provide more help than that.
