Chief Minister attended the taking charge of the newly appointed authorized officer of Apex Bank
Raipur 11 June 2025-Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today attended the taking charge and felicitation ceremony of the newly appointed authorized officer of Chhattisgarh State Cooperative Bank Limited Kedar Nath Gupta at Balbir Singh Juneja Indoor Stadium in the capital Raipur and wished him. On this occasion, the Chief Minister virtually inaugurated the new branch of Apex Bank at Farasabahar in Jashpur district and congratulated the people of the area.
Chief Minister Say said that the concept of prosperity through cooperation is being realized under the leadership of our country’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Cooperative Minister Amit Shah. With their inspiration, our government is working to connect every household of the state with cooperation. Say said that under the leadership of the newly appointed authorized officer, cooperation will get further strengthened in the state. He said that with the aim of promoting cooperative activities, milk production is being promoted in the state in collaboration with the National Dairy Development Board. Recently, we have started the distribution of milch cattle, under which two milch cows are being distributed to the beneficiaries by selecting 6 districts of the state for the pilot project.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that we have started a major initiative to provide banking facilities to the farmers and rural people of the state from Panchayati Raj Day this year. Atal Digital Suvidha Kendras have been opened in 1460 Gram Panchayats of the state, through which banking facilities are being available in the Gram Panchayat Bhawan itself. He said that by the next Panchayati Raj Day, this facility will be available in all the Gram Panchayats of the state, which will provide great relief to the farmers.
Chief Minister Sai also mentioned the major changes in the field of cooperation during the Chief Ministership of Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh. He said that former Chief Minister Singh freed farmers from the high interest rate for short-term loans and provided relief to farmers by continuously reducing interest rates. Now farmers are getting short-term loans without any interest for agricultural work. Chief Minister Sai congratulated the people of the area on the opening of a new branch of Apex Bank in Farasbahar and said that now farmers will not have to go to Pathalgaon, 50-60 km away, for banking facilities. He congratulated the Cooperative Department for this noble initiative.
Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh started his address by remembering the great personalities who sowed the seeds of cooperation in Chhattisgarh. He said that pioneers like Vamanrao Lakhe and Thakur Pyarelal laid the foundation of cooperation in Chhattisgarh, whose developed form we are all seeing today. This year is the International Year of Cooperation, and with the efforts of Union Cooperative Minister Amit Shah, miraculous changes are definitely taking place in this sector. He said that the tireless efforts of Chief Minister Sai have brought prosperity in the lives of the farmers of the state. He is the first Chief Minister in the entire country who has purchased paddy at the rate of 21 quintals per acre and Rs 3100 per quintal. He said that Chief Minister Sai has worked to take cooperatives to the last village of the state. Apex Bank is the most powerful organization in the state with a turnover of Rs 40 thousand crores and through this, loans worth Rs 7 thousand 5 hundred crores have been made available to the farmers so far.
Dr. Singh said that due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, every citizen of the country has been connected to the banking system and as a result of this, today 100 percent amount is being received directly in the accounts of the beneficiaries without any middleman. He said that there are still immense possibilities in the field of cooperatives and called for completing the work of connecting 100 percent farmers with cooperatives and Apex Bank soon.
