Naya Raipur, Ujjwala-4 lamp lighting and oath taking ceremony was organized with great enthusiasm at Ravishankar Institute of Nursing located in Rawatpura Sarkar Institute of Medical Sciences and Research Naya Raipur campus. On this occasion, students of B.Sc. Nursing 2020-2021 to 2023-2024 batch took oath of nursing service. The ceremony was inaugurated by Chief Guest Dr. P.K. Patra, Vice Chancellor – Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Smriti Health Science and AYUSH University, S.S. Bajaj, Executive Director – Rawatpura Sarkar Lok Kalyan Trust, Director Nursing Pramod Pandey and Aparna Singh, Principal of Nursing College by offering flowers to the statue of Maa Saraswati, Florence Nightingale and Pujya Maharaj. Chief Guest Dr. Patra praised the college while highlighting the importance of nursing education and inspired the students to do social service with honesty and dedication. He described skill based education as essential in the field of nursing and wished them a bright future. On this occasion the alumni of the college were honoured with the “Student’s Alumni – Award for Higher Achievement” for their achievements. Chandni Patel (AIIMS Raipur) of 1st batch of B.Sc. Nursing and Pratibha Sahu (AIIMS Bhubaneswar) of 4th batch were honoured for being selected as Nursing Officers. In the ceremony all the students took the oath of nursing service by holding candles. On the same occasion the Advanced Skill Lab of the college was inaugurated by Mrs. Neetu Tripathi. The programme concluded with the vote of thanks to all the guests and the National Anthem.
