Strict stand on board exam results in Mahasamund: Chief Minister had expressed displeasure
Raipur 10 May 2025: The effect of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai’s zero tolerance policy and result-based working style is now clearly visible. The School Education Department of the State Government has today transferred the District Education Officer posted in Mahasamund district, making it clear that negligence, inactivity and poor performance in the education system is no longer acceptable at any level. According to the order issued by the School Education Department, Principal M.R. Sawant, the District Education Officer in-charge of Mahasamund district, has been removed from his post and posted as Assistant Director in the office of Divisional Joint Director, Education Department, Jagdalpur. In his place, Principal Vijay Kumar Lahare, working as Block Education Officer Navagarh (Janjgir-Champa), has been appointed as the District Education Officer in-charge Mahasamund. At the same time, Bhupendra Kumar Kaushik has been appointed as the Block Education Officer of Navagarh development block of Janjgir Champa district.
This decision has come after the review meeting in which Chief Minister Sai expressed deep displeasure over the poor results of the board examination in Mahasamund district. In the review meeting held in Mahasamund in the third phase of Sushasan Tihar, Chief Minister Sai had clearly said that there will be no compromise on the quality of education. He had given a strict warning to all the District Education Officers and directed them to bring about improvement. This action taken by the School Education Department shows that Chief Minister Sai’s government believes in result-based working style and is committed to taking every necessary step to improve the education system of the state.
