Chief Minister Sai inaugurated free bus service for day-scholar special children of Raipur and Bilaspur
Raipur 1 May 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today flagged off two special buses from his residence premises, giving a big gift to the visually and hearing impaired children. These buses will transport day-scholar children studying in government schools for the visually and hearing impaired located in Raipur and Bilaspur from home to school and from school to home free of cost every day. Chief Minister Sai said that this facility will not only ensure smooth and safe transportation for special children, but will also strengthen their confidence, continuity of education and social inclusion. He said that this initiative will also bring relief to those parents who are worried about the daily movement of their children, especially when both the parents are working.
The Chief Minister said that the state government is committed to reach every child with special needs and ensure all the necessary facilities to give them a better life. This bus service is not just a transport facility, but a means to bring change in the lives of special children. Chief Minister Sai said that access to education is the right of all children and the government is ensuring that no child is deprived of education due to any physical handicap. It is notable that through the operation of these special buses, hundreds of visually and hearing impaired children of Raipur and Bilaspur will get the opportunity of respectable and safe travel every day, so that they can connect with mainstream education easily. On this occasion, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwade, MLA Bhooln Singh Maravi and Director of Social Welfare Department Smt. Roktima Yadav, along with many public representatives and officials were present.
