Supreme Court To Hear Mosque Committee’s Petition In Mathura Land Dispute Case On September 17

New Delhi:

The Supreme Court has agreed to hear Muslim petitioners’ challenge to last month’s Allahabad High Court verdict that allowed 15 suits, including those filed by the Krishna Janmabhoomi deity, which claims the Shahi Idgah Masjid in Uttar Pradesh’s Mathura is built on 13.37 acres of land belonging to the temple.

The Hindu petitioners have sought removal of the mosque, arguing it was built over the birthplace of Lord Krishna. The top court will hear the Muslim side’s petition on Tuesday.
