State government will provide all possible support for setting up industries: Chief Minister Sai

Raipur. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has said that the state government will provide all possible support for setting up industries in the state. The government intends to set up new industries, do value addition work in Chhattisgarh and provide employment to local youth. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said the above things today while discussing the suggestions given by the Confederation of Indian Industry for the new Industrial Policy 2024-29 at his residence office here. During this, Chief Minister’s Secretary P. Dayanand, CII Chhattisgarh State Council Chairman Ashish Saraf, Vice Chairman Sanjay Jain, Sarv Narendra Goyal, Anand Singhania, Ramesh Aggarwal, Pankaj Sarda and members of CII Chhattisgarh State Council were present. On this occasion, the members of the Confederation of Indian Industry appreciated the single window system and the efforts of the Chief Minister to promote industries for employment generation.

Chief Minister Shri Sai said that there are abundant reserves of natural resources and precious minerals in the state. There is abundant availability of minor forest produce in the state. He said that whether it is minerals or minor forest produce, their value addition should be done in Chhattisgarh itself, so that the state gets its benefits. Mr. Sai said that hundreds of MoUs have been signed in the last 5 years, but they have not been implemented. The intention of the state government is to establish new industries here, so that local youth get employment.

Chief Minister Mr. Sai said that important suggestions have been given by CII regarding the new industrial policy, which will be sent to the state’s Industry Minister and the policy making committee. He said that after studying all the suggestions, good suggestions will be included in the new industrial policy. The Chief Minister said that our successful Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi has conceptualized a developed India by 2047 and has set a target of making India the third largest economy in the world in the next 5 years. To fulfill these goals, we will build a developed Chhattisgarh. He said that on the occasion of State Foundation Day on November 1, the new industrial policy and the vision document of developed Chhattisgarh will also be released.

Representatives of the members of the Confederation of Indian Industry praised the single window system in Chhattisgarh during the discussion with the Chief Minister. He urged the Chief Minister to also determine a time framework for the single window system. He said that there is a lot of potential for downstream industries in value addition of minor forest produce, dairy industry and steel industry. Chhattisgarh is a power surplus state, hence data centers can be established here as they use a large amount of electricity. The members urged the Chief Minister to include the real estate industry in the new industrial policy. On this occasion, the members of the Confederation of Indian Industry also presented a presentation of their suggestions based on the new industrial policies.
