Raipur – Today, as per the orders of Raipur District Collector and Municipal Corporation Administrator Dr Gaurav Kumar Singh and as per the instructions of Municipal Corporation Commissioner Abinash Mishra, the water works department of Municipal Corporation Raipur conducted a campaign to clean the silt of 3200 kilolitre capacity overhead tanks of Shankar Nagar and Bhatgaon. After regular morning water supply in Shankar Nagar and Bhatgaon overhead tanks, while cleaning the water tanks, along with silt cleaning, essential work of chemical treatment, cleaning of all chambers and painting was done. It is worth mentioning here that for this work, Satguru Agency and Safe Clean Agency have been contracted by the Municipal Corporation Water Works Department for silt cleaning of overhead tanks as per the prescribed procedure. The work of cleaning silt in the overhead tanks of Shankar Nagar and Bhatgaon was started today at 9 am through the contracted agency and was completed by 2 pm. On Sunday, 9 February 2025, the silt of 1000 kilolitre capacity Amasivani overhead tank and 2000 kilolitre capacity Devpuri overhead tank will be cleaned by the Municipal Corporation Water Department after the regular water supply in the morning.
