Kondagaon. The Food and Drug Administration is continuously inspecting the medical stores to check the quality of medicines and to maintain the purchase and sale documents as per the rules. As per the instructions of Collector Kunal Dudawat and under the guidance of Deputy Director Food and Drug Administration Dr. RK Singh, the Drug Department conducted a surprise inspection of the medical stores operating in Keshkal. During this inspection, purchase and sale documents of Schedule H1 and narcotic medicines were examined. The operators of all medical stores were directed to maintain the documents as per rules.
During the investigation, on the basis of suspicion, a medicine named Geodol PDS was sent from Maharaj Medical Store to the State Drug Testing Laboratory, Raipur to check the quality of medicines. Geodol PD is a combination medicine, which is mainly used as a pain reliever and fever, along with two medicines, Jocon 50 DT and Intranac 200, have been sent to the Price Monitoring Resource Unit of the state for advance action under overprice. According to the information given by the Drug Inspector, during the regular inspection of all the medical stores operating in the district, from time to time the medicines are sent to the Drug Testing Laboratory, Raipur for quality testing. The pharmaceutical department has instructed all medical operators to maintain all documents related to medicines as per rules and to sell only standard medicines.
