Salutation To Women Power On Women’s Day: Huge Women Power Will Gather In The Grand Mahtari Vandan Sammelan

Raipur, 07 March 2025: On the occasion of International Women’s Day, a grand Mahatari Vandan Sammelan and state level Mahila Madai will be organized at Science College Ground, Raipur on 8 March. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai will be the chief guest in this program and Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh will preside over the program. All Cabinet Ministers, MPs, MLAs, Raipur Mayor and other dignitaries including Women and Child Development Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwada will be present in the program. 13th installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana will be distributed. On the occasion of successful completion of one year of Chhattisgarh Government’s ambitious Mahtari Vandan Yojana, Chief Minister Sai will pay the 13th installment of the scheme to about 70 lakh women of the state. It is noteworthy that on March 10, 2024, in the virtual presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the first installment of Mahtari Vandan Yojana was transferred to the bank accounts of married women. So far, an amount of Rs 7,838 crore has been distributed to the mothers and sisters of the state in 12 installments.

Launch of ‘Samman Suvidha System’ for Anganwadi workers and assistants Chief Minister Sai will launch the “Samman Suvidha System” for payment of honorarium to Anganwadi workers and assistants on this occasion. This will be the first time that the Chief Minister himself will pay honorarium directly to Anganwadi workers and assistants through a digital and centralized system. In this system, regular attendance of workers and assistants will be recorded through facial recognition system, on the basis of which honorarium will be paid to them directly from the state government. This system will ensure accuracy, transparency and timeliness in the payment of honorarium to Anganwadi workers. Chhattisgarh will become the first state to set the standard operating procedure of ‘Sakhi One Stop Center’ Chief Minister Sai will launch an important digital facility for harassed and distressed women on this occasion, under which they will be able to register complaints online and through mobile app.

Apart from this, the Chief Minister will also launch the portal, infra portal and establishment portal of the Child Marriage Free Chhattisgarh Campaign. Also, the newly constructed building of the Regional Women Training Institute located in Bilaspur will also be inaugurated. To make women’s safety more effective, the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) of “Sakhi One Stop Center” will also be released. With this, Chhattisgarh will become the first state in the country to implement a prescribed SOP for the smooth operation of Sakhi One Stop Center. Those who have made outstanding contribution in women empowerment will be honored In the program, 32 excellent Anganwadi workers of the state, 3 best Sakhi One Stop Centers, 2 Women Protection Officers of Nava Bihan Yojana and other women who have achieved special achievements in women empowerment will be honored. State Level Women’s Madai: Platform for Women Entrepreneurship and Self-reliance The State Level Women’s Madai is being organized by the Women and Child Development Department from 4 to 8 March 2025. More than 100 stalls have been set up in this fair for the display and sale of products manufactured by women self-help groups and women entrepreneurs. Women from women self-help groups from various districts of the state are displaying and selling their products. Along with this, special stalls have also been set up to promote the schemes run by the Women and Child Development Department. Under this event, newly elected public representatives and representatives of women groups from across the state have been specially invited so that they can closely see and understand the various efforts related to women entrepreneurship and self-reliance. Maha Kumbh of Women Empowerment: Participation of more than 50,000 women More than 50,000 mothers, sisters and daughters from all over the state will participate in the grand Mahtari Vandan Sammelan and state level women’s fair. Through this grand event, an effort is being made to give a new direction to women empowerment, social upliftment and economic self-reliance. Festival of respect for Nari Shakti This program will be a festival of respect and empowerment of mothers, sisters and daughters of Chhattisgarh. To ensure that the benefits of various schemes run by the government reach as many women as possible, wide publicity of government schemes related to women’s prosperity will be ensured on this occasion.
