Chief Minister rewarded the aspiring districts and development blocks doing excellent work in Sampurnata Abhiyan

Two districts and six development blocks that achieved full saturation in all six indicators got gold medal

Raipur. 2 August 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai rewarded the aspiring districts and development blocks for doing excellent work in achieving the targets set in the Sampurnata Abhiyan. In a program organized at Naveen Vishram Bhavan in the capital Raipur today, he gave awards to the districts and development blocks that saturated the indicators and achieved the targets in the Sampurnata Abhiyan conducted for three months in the aspiring districts and aspiring development blocks of the state from July-2024 to September-2024. He also rewarded the officers and employees of various departments who did excellent work in these districts and development blocks. Gold medals were awarded to the aspiring districts Bastar and Kondagaon and aspiring development blocks Shankargarh, Mainpur, Makdi, Koylibeda, Orchha and Pratappur for the best performance during the Sampurnata Abhiyan. Deputy Chief Ministers Arun Saw and Vijay Sharma, MP Brijmohan Agarwal and MLAs Sunil Soni, Motilal Sahu and Guru Khuswant Saheb also attended the felicitation ceremony.

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, while addressing the felicitation ceremony, said that the concept of developed India of Prime Minister Narendra Modi includes the development of all sections. He said that people living in remote areas and Special Backward Tribes (PVTGs) need development the most. The Government of India has started the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana after understanding this deeply. Housing, drinking water, electricity, roads and other basic facilities are reaching remote forest areas through this scheme. With programs like Dharti Aba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, in which 6661 villages of Chhattisgarh are also included, the light of development is reaching remote villages in accordance with the visionary thinking of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that the villages included in the aspirational districts and development blocks of the Central Government in the state are progressing rapidly. Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw said in his address that work has started in the aspirational districts in the country since the year 2018. Work is being done to bring the backward districts and development blocks forward in the race of development. Under this, human indices are being improved by working in different sectors in the villages included in it. They are being brought to the level of saturation. He hoped that the development and welfare of each individual will pave the way for a developed Chhattisgarh and a developed India.

Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said in the ceremony that apart from physical progress, work is being done to improve human indices in aspiring districts and development blocks. Work is being done on important indicators to saturate them by setting targets, which generally do not get much attention. I wish all the districts and development blocks for even better work in the aspiring districts and development blocks of the state. Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain and Secretary of Planning, Economic and Statistics Department Ankit Anand gave information about the work done and achievements during the Sampurnata Abhiyan in the ceremony. Niti Aayog Member-Secretary Ashish Bhatt, Member K. Subramanyam and Director of Planning, Economic and Statistics Department Roktima Yadav were also present in the program.

Districts and development blocks doing good work on six indicators were awarded. Sampurnata Abhiyan was conducted to identify and saturate six indicators out of 49 indicators of Aspirational District Program and six out of 40 indicators of Aspirational Blocks. These included indicators like ANC registration, pregnant women taking supplementary nutrition, soil health card, children with full vaccination, schools with electricity, schools providing textbooks within one month of the start of the academic session, diabetes check, hypertension check, number of self-help groups receiving revolving fund. Aspirational districts and development blocks achieving full saturation in all six indicators during Sampurnata Abhiyan were awarded gold medals today. Districts and development blocks achieving full saturation in five indicators were awarded silver medals, those achieving full saturation in four indicators were awarded bronze medals and districts and development blocks achieving full saturation in three indicators were awarded copper medals.

Gold medal for Bastar and Kondagaon districts Aspirational districts Bastar and Kondagaon and aspirational development blocks Shankargarh, Mainpur, Makdi, Koylibeda, Orchha and Pratappur were awarded gold medals for achieving full saturation in all six indicators during the Sampurta Abhiyan. Silver medals were awarded to aspirational districts Dantewada, Korba, Kanker, Narayanpur and aspirational development blocks Lakhanpur, Baikunthpur, Durgkondul, Gaurela-2, Korba and Pithora. Bronze medals were awarded to aspirational district Bijapur and aspirational development blocks Gariaband, Usur, Podi Uparoda, Bodla, Tokapal and Kuankonda and copper medals were awarded to aspirational districts Manpur-Mohla-Ambagadh Chowki, Mahasamund, Sukma and aspirational development block Ambagadh Chowki. Present and then collectors of the respective districts received these awards.
