Raipur 29 March 2025: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be on a visit to Chhattisgarh on 30 March 2025. During this, he will inaugurate and perform Bhoomi Pujan of important development projects at village Mohbhattha in Bilaspur district. Prime Minister Modi will reach Raipur Airport at 2:30 pm by Air Force plane. He will depart from Raipur Airport at 2:35 PM via helicopter for Mohbhatta in Bilaspur and will reach the venue at 3:30 PM and will participate in the Bhoomi Pujan and inauguration program of various projects from 3:30 to 4:30 PM. After the program, the Prime Minister will depart for Raipur from Mohbhatta helipad at 4:45 PM and will reach Raipur Airport at 5:25 PM. After this, he will leave for Delhi at 5:30 PM by Air Force plane. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone and dedicate to the nation several development projects related to power, oil and gas, rail, road, education and housing sectors worth more than Rs 33,700 crore at village Mohbhatta in Bilaspur district on March 30. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is committed to reform the power sector across the country. In accordance with this, several steps will be taken to provide affordable and reliable electricity and make Chhattisgarh self-reliant in power generation. He will lay the foundation stone of NTPC’s Sipat Super Thermal Power Project Phase-III (1x800MW) located in Bilaspur district, costing over Rs 9,790 crore. This pit head project is based on state-of-the-art ultra-supercritical technology with high power generation efficiency. He will also commence work on Chhattisgarh State Power Generation Company Limited (CSPGCL)’s first Super Critical Thermal Power Project (2X660MW) costing over Rs 15,800 crore. He will also dedicate to the nation three power transmission projects of POWERGRID costing over Rs 560 crore under Western Region Expansion Scheme (WRES).

In line with India’s net-zero carbon emission goals, reducing air pollution and providing clean energy solutions, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited’s (BPCL) City Gas Distribution (CGD) Project in Koriya, Surajpur, Balrampur and Surguja districts. This includes over 200 km of high pressure pipelines and over 800 km of MDPE (Medium Density Polyethylene) pipelines and several CNG dispensing outlets costing over Rs 1,285 crore. He will also lay the foundation stone of the 540 km long Visakh-Raipur Pipeline (VRPL) project of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) costing over Rs 2210 crore. This multiproduct (petrol, diesel, kerosene) pipeline will have a capacity of over 3 million metric tonnes per annum. Focusing on improving connectivity in the region, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of seven railway projects with a total length of 108 km and dedicate to the nation three railway projects with a total length of 111 km costing over Rs 2,690 crore. He will flag off MEMU train service in Abhanpur-Raipur section via Mandir Hasaud. He will also dedicate to the nation the 100 per cent electrification of Indian Railways’ rail network in Chhattisgarh. These projects will reduce congestion, improve connectivity and boost social and economic development in the entire region.

Augmenting the road infrastructure in Chhattisgarh, the Prime Minister will dedicate to the nation the upgradation of Jhalmala to Sherpar section of NH-930 (37 km) and Ambikapur-Pathalgaon section of NH-43 (75 km) to 2 lanes. The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for upgradation of Kondagaon-Narayanpur section of NH-130D (47.5 km) to 2 lanes. These projects costing over Rs 1,270 crore will significantly improve access to tribal and industrial areas leading to overall development of the region. In line with his commitment to ensure education for all, the Prime Minister will dedicate two key educational initiatives which include 130 PM Schools in 29 districts of the State and Vidya Samiksha Kendra (VSK) in Raipur. 130 schools will be upgraded under the PM School for Rising India scheme. These schools will help in imparting high quality education through well-structured infrastructure, smart boards, modern laboratories and libraries. The VSK in Raipur will enable online monitoring and data analysis of various education-related government schemes. Fulfilling the commitment to ensure access to affordable housing for rural families and improve their health, safety and overall quality of life, 3 lakh beneficiaries will be inaugurated under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G). The Prime Minister will hand over the keys to some of the beneficiaries under this scheme.
