Raipur – Under the aegis of the Culture Department of the Municipal Corporation of Raipur, arrangements are made to pay homage to the statues and busts of great men, martyrs, brave women, freedom fighters located in the Municipal Corporation area of the capital city Raipur on their birth anniversaries, death anniversaries, martyrdom days. On the said special remembrance days, the team of the Health Department of the concerned zone of the Municipal Corporation gets the statues and busts of great men cleaned and washed and pays respectful homage to them. Today, Swami Vivekananda, who is considered to be the source of spiritual energy and inspiration for the youth, was paid respectful homage on his birth anniversary, National Youth Day. Swami Vivekananda’s huge statue located in the Municipal Corporation’s Neelabh Udyan premises (Budhatalaab Swami Vivekananda Sarovar) was cleaned and washed by the concerned Zone 4 Health Department team by running a special campaign and paid respectful homage to him. The special cleaning and washing work of the statue was done at the statue site under the guidance of Zone 4 Zone Commissioner Mr. Arun Dhruv by Assistant Engineer Mr. Deepak Devangan and Zone Health Officer Mr. Virendra Chandrakar with the help of a special team.
