Raipur, 10 February 2025: The state government led by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has achieved historic success in Naxal eradication efforts. The effective policies and development-oriented approach implemented by the government have created an environment of lasting peace and security in the state. Chief Minister Sai said that under the leadership of our double engine government, 305 Naxalites have been killed in the state in the last 13 months, 1177 Naxalites have been arrested and 985 Naxalites have surrendered. These figures not only reflect the commitment and efficient strategy of the government, but also prove that Chhattisgarh is moving rapidly towards peace and development by becoming free from Naxal violence.
Chief Minister Sai said that the Naxal problem is not limited only to the action of security forces, but it is also a social and developmental challenge. His government has tried to solve this problem with a holistic approach. Rehabilitation schemes have been prepared for surrendered Naxalites, in which they are being provided employment, financial assistance and opportunities to return to the mainstream of society. These rehabilitation policies are not only trying to bring positive changes in their lives but also creating an atmosphere of peace and trust in the society. Chief Minister Sai said that the arrest of 1177 Naxalites is the result of the strong security policy of the state government. The state government has equipped the security forces with state-of-the-art equipment, advanced training and better coordination. It has been ensured that the activities of Naxal organizations can be rooted out. Strict legal action is being taken against the arrested Naxalites, so that justice and law and order can be strengthened in the state.
Chief Minister Sai said that the priority of his government is not only to motivate the Naxalites to lay down their arms but also to ensure that they can live a respectable life by reintegrating into the society. Special schemes have been made for the rehabilitation of surrendered Naxalites, under which they are being given employment and vocational training. Apart from this, special attention has also been given to the development of infrastructure in Naxal-affected areas. Infrastructure like roads, electricity, education, health and employment have expanded rapidly in Naxal-affected areas. The development work in these areas has not only increased the confidence of the local tribal communities, but also inspired the youth to leave the path of violence and join the mainstream of society. The effect of these development works has been that now the Naxal-affected areas are gradually moving towards peace and prosperity. The state government has adopted a more effective and far-sighted approach in solving the Naxal problem. Chief Minister Sai said that his government not only wants to make Chhattisgarh Naxal-free, but also wants to make it a state symbolizing peace and development. The government’s long-term plans for Naxal eradication include encouraging industrial investment, expanding education and health services and increasing skill development opportunities for youth. Chief Minister Sai said that the state government has adopted a holistic and effective approach to solve the Naxal problem. The figures of 985 surrenders and 1177 arrests prove that the state is not only moving towards peace, but is also establishing new dimensions of development. This achievement is a strong evidence of taking Chhattisgarh from Naxal violence towards lasting peace and prosperity.
