Collector and District Election Officer Shri Gopal Verma, while partially amending the earlier order, has made new appointments after the transfer and posting of some officers.
Kawardha, 23 January 2025: Collector and District Election Officer Gopal Verma has re-defined the responsibility of the officers for the smooth implementation of the General Elections-2025 of Municipalities and Three-Tier Panchayats in Kabirdham district. While partially amending the earlier order, new appointments have been made after the transfer and posting of some officers. Under this order, instructions have been given to the Nodal and Assistant Nodal Officers to ensure smooth execution of their works. The Collector has directed all the Nodal and Assistant Nodal Officers to perform their duties with full devotion and promptness during the election process, so that the General Elections-2025 of Municipalities and Panchayats can be conducted in an orderly and successful manner. According to the order issued by the Collector and District Election Officer, Kabirdham, different responsibilities have been assigned for the work related to compliance of the Model Code of Conduct, law and order, polling and counting. District Panchayat Chief Executive Officer Mr. Ajay Tripathi, Additional Collector Ms. Monica Kaudo, Mr. Vinay Poyam and Mr. Narendra Paikra along with other officers have been appointed as nodal officers. At the same time, the responsibility of the Sub-Divisional Magistrate, Chief Executive Officer, Janpad Panchayat and Municipal Officer of the concerned area has been fixed as Assistant Nodal Officers.
Instructions have been given to complete the tasks like training for election work, distribution of polling material and formation of counting team on priority. Officers have been given responsibility to ensure the arrangement of ballot papers, distribution of election duty ballot papers, formation of special teams to maintain law and order, and compliance of the model code of conduct. Apart from this, emphasis has also been laid on tasks like proper arrangement of drinking water and sanitation at polling stations, acquisition process of vehicles, preparation of route chart, and resolution of complaints in the control room. The responsibility of ensuring the arrangement of microphones, lights and tents at the counting places along with the preparation of strong rooms and material distribution centers has been entrusted to the concerned officers. For media management of the election process, the District Public Relations Officer has been entrusted with the responsibility of issuing press releases, reporting in newspapers and organizing press conferences. At the same time, instructions have also been given to ensure the arrangement of polling personnel and reserve team, reporting of voting percentage and availability of medical facilities.
