Expressed appreciation after seeing smooth solid waste management work
Raipur (23 April 2025): As per the instructions of Mayor of Municipal Corporation Raipur, Mrs. Meenal Chaubey, MIC member Mrs. Gayatri Sunil Chandrakar visited the Integrated Solid Waste Management Plant located at village Sakri on Wednesday. She expressed appreciation after seeing the smooth solid waste management work being done there with scientific method. In this, she took information about door-to-door garbage collection and its processing and disposal work. She also understood the process of compost production from wet garbage and recycling by treating dry waste. She also got to know the transportation process of waste sent to the cement plant. Along with this, she also visited the Leachate Treatment Plant, Scientific Landfill Site, Order Control Unit and Laboratory etc. A review meeting of zone health officers and related agencies was held by Mrs. Gayatri Sunil Chandrakar on Tuesday regarding cleanliness, in which it was proposed to inspect the Sakri plant. The MIC member also advised the employees of the plant to work while taking care of health in the summer season. He also instructed to plant dense and shady plants like Peepal, Neem and Banyan in the plant premises. Raghumani Pradhan, Executive Engineer of Swachh Bharat Mission of the corporation was also present on this occasion.
