Mahtari Vandan Yojana Becomes An Economic Support, Women Are Building A Better Tomorrow

Raipur, 21 July 2025: Chhattisgarh Government’s Mahtari Vandan Yojana is writing a new chapter of change in the lives of rural women. This scheme is not only empowering women financially, but also making them a part of the family’s needs. Rabina Pisda, a housewife, resident of village Pandaritarai in Mohla-Manpur-Ambagadh Chowki district, is getting financial assistance of Rs 1000 per month under the scheme. She told that she is using this amount for her son’s education and necessary household work. This year, when her son got admission in first grade, she bought school bag, slate, pencil, shoes and other educational material for her son from the amount of Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Rabina tells that her husband does agriculture work and she herself also helps in farming. Earlier it was difficult to save any kind of money, but with this scheme, now by saving a little amount every month, she is able to strengthen the foundation of her son’s bright future. Expressing gratitude towards Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai and Women and Child Development Minister Laxmi Rajwada, Rabina said that Mahtari Vandan Yojana has become a support for thousands of women like her. This is giving them an opportunity to become self-reliant and contribute to the family.
