Kalinga University inaugurated two new Centres of Excellence (COE) in collaboration with Godawari Electric Motors Pvt. Ltd. for training and research on Electric Vehicles and JustAuto Solutions for the repair and maintenance of two and three-wheelers at its campus on Monday, 16th June 2025. The program commenced with the traditional Lamp Lighting Ceremony, symbolizing knowledge and enlightenment. Dr. R Shridhar, Vice Chancellor, Kalinga University welcomed all the dignitaries present with a welcome note. Dr. Sandeep Gandhi, Registrar, Kalinga University shared valuable insights on the University through an engaging PowerPoint Presentation (PPT). The Chief Guest of the event was Professor Vijay Kumar Goyal, Chairman of CGPURC. Distinguished guests present on the occasion were Mr. Siddharth Agrawal, Director of Godawari Power and Ispat Limited, Mr. Naveen Chandra Sharma, Founder and CEO of Just Auto Solutions Private limited, Mr. Vinod Pillai, Director of Godawari Power and Ispat Limited, Mr. Lokesh, Lead-Service & Aftermarket Initiatives of Automotive Skills Development Council (ASDC) and Dr. Megha Ojha, Strategic Legal Consultant (Voluntary) of JustAuto Solutions Pvt. Ltd.
These centres will enable the students of Kalinga University to have hands on training on the latest vehicles and technologies of 21 century, as well as provide technical training and support to various technical organizations. This is the beginning of a new era of automotive skill development. It is worth mentioning that Kalinga University already have five Centres of Excellence in their Campus in collaboration with –
• BOSCH for Bridge Courses for school dropout students (18-25 years) on their academic campus
• IBM Innovation Centre for Education for B. Tech Computer Science in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (BTCS in AI & ML)
• TechnoViz Automation for a comprehensive hands-on learning experience in industrial automation, big data analysis, and IoT applications.
• BDS Education for providing hands-on experience in key technologies like coding, robotics, and drone systems with real-world projects, workshops, and seminars.
• IamSMEofIndia to help and support Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)
All the guests present at the event appreciated Kalinga University’s efforts for aiming to foster experiential learning so that students can develop a better understanding of concepts and advanced technologies.
