Defending champions India got off to a strong start against Bangladesh in their U-19 World Cup opener in Bloemfontein on Satirday. After being put into bat, India lost the wickets of Arshin Kulkarni and Musheer Khan in 7.2 overs, with the score reading 31/2. However, opener Adarsh Singh and captain Uday Saharan smashed half-centuries to take India across the 100-run mark. The pair added 116 runs for the third wicket before Adarsh was dismissed on 76.
During their partnership, India captain Uday had a heated exchange with Ariful Islam and his Bangaldeshi counterpart Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby.
Uday and Ariful went face to face against each other before Rabby and the umpire separated them and stopped the matter from escalating.
