Chhattisgarh: The campaign against Naxalites in Chhattisgarh has become more aggressive and aggressive. Today, when the soldiers went out on a search operation in the forests of Shobha police station area, they encountered Naxalites. In this clash, the soldiers killed a uniformed Naxalite. During the encounter, the soldiers got the upper hand, so the rest of the Naxalites fled from there. The soldiers have also recovered many important items including SLR weapons from the spot. The killed Naxalite has been identified as DVCM Ayatu alias Yogesh Korsa. Confirming the encounter, Gariaband SP Nikhil Rakhecha said that all this happened during the search operation. The Naxalites started firing first, but the soldiers immediately took charge and retaliated. Now the search in the area has been intensified and all the security forces are fully alert.
In fact, four months ago, there was a fierce encounter between the soldiers and Naxalites in this area, in which 16 Naxalites were killed. After that shock, the Nuapada Division Committee was completely shattered. To re-establish that committee, small groups of Naxalites from Bastar were constantly roaming in this area. It is believed that they were preparing to take revenge for that encounter. On receiving the news of the presence of Naxalites, a joint team of soldiers was sent to the area. On seeing the team, the Naxalites started firing, after which the soldiers also retaliated. In this encounter, the soldiers killed DVCM member Ayatu alias Yogesh Korsa, who had a reward of 8 lakhs on his head. The Naxalite killed was a resident of Gangalur police station area of Bijapur district.
After the encounter, the soldiers also recovered SLR, 12 bore bullets, magazines, GBL, IED, medicines and many items of everyday use from the spot.
