Proposals for two major schemes submitted to the Center in the ambitious scheme Swadesh Darshan 2.0 of the Government of India
Raipur, 6 January 2025-Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma met Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in New Delhi today. During this, Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India and Managing Director of Chhattisgarh Tourism Board Vivek Acharya were present. During this, Deputy Chief Minister Sharma handed over the proposal of two major schemes of tourism development in the state to the Union Minister.
As per the guidance and instructions of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, proposals worth about Rs 200 crore for the projects of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Yagya Kund Complex, Champarany beautification and Bhoramdev Corridor District Kabirdham under the Swadesh Darshan 2.0 scheme were submitted to the Government of India.
This proposal includes development of basic amenities like Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya Yagya Kund Complex, beautification of the complex in Champarany, entrance gate, pond beautification, parking area, grand statue of Mahaprabhu Vallabhacharya, museum, convention center, Bhagwat Katha and discourse hall, garden for children, cafeteria, road construction, landscaping, souvenir shop, drinking water and public toilet.
The Bhoramdev Corridor project includes development of Bhoramdev temple complex, beautification, tourist information center, Shiva Plaza, beautification of lake and Saroda dam, park for children, guest house, library, museum, Bhandara Bhawan, fair ground, entrance gate and parking. Apart from this, beautification of Cherki Mahal, Madwa Mahal and Ramchua temple and construction of ghat for water sports is also proposed.
Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat praised these schemes and assured full cooperation to the Chhattisgarh government in their implementation.
The Chhattisgarh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai is constantly working to preserve the cultural and historical heritage of the state and get them recognition at the national and international level. Through these projects, Chhattisgarh tourism will get a new identity and direction.
