In Bhilai, a tragic accident occurred near Nehru Nagar Chowk, resulting in the death of a woman. On Thursday night, she was riding home from Durg with her husband when their motorcycle lost control, causing them to fall onto the road. Unfortunately, a truck coming from behind ran over the woman’s head, and she died instantly. The Supela police were notified and have since filed a report and begun their investigation. According to the police, Rakesh Agarwal, who lives in Amrapali Vananchal City Housing Board, was riding home with his wife, Kamlesh Agarwal, around **8:30 PM** on Thursday night.
As they traveled between Gurudwara Chowk and Nehru Nagar Chowk, their bike went out of control, leading to their fall. Kamlesh, who was sitting behind, was struck by a truck that was passing by. Tragically, 59-year-old Kamlesh Agarwal died on the spot when the truck’s wheel ran over her head. The police quickly arrived at the scene and sent her body to the mortuary. Rakesh Agarwal, who fell on the other side of the road, fortunately, escaped without injuries.
In another incident, a police constable named Upendra Tiwari, aged **39**, lost his life in a road accident on Wednesday night. He was riding home on his bike when he collided with a transformer near Hotel Krish in Steel Colony, Hari Nagar. The impact caused severe head injuries, leading to his death. The police reported that the accident occurred around **11:30 PM**, and it was noted that Constable Upendra was under the influence of alcohol at the time and was not wearing a helmet. Constable Upendra had previously been assigned to the Vaishali Nagar police station. Two years ago, he gained notoriety when a video of him discussing the Mahadev Book Satta App Panel went viral, which led to his suspension by then-SP Dr. Abhishek Pallav. After being reinstated, he was transferred to the Supela police station and later attached to the IG office. He lived in Smriti Nagar with his wife and two children.
