Raipur – Today, on the instructions of Municipal Corporation Raipur’s Commissioner Vishwadeep, the team of Municipal Corporation Zone 3 took strict action to confiscate the toy train that was being run illegally without permission at Telibandha Lake Marine Drive, the place where citizens go for morning and evening walks. Due to this, citizens were facing inconvenience in doing morning and evening walks in Marine Drive Telibandha Lake area. Taking immediate cognizance of the public complaints received from the citizens, Corporation Commissioner Vishwadeep directed Zone 3 Zone Commissioner Vivekanand Dubey to take action. On the instructions of the Commissioner, action was taken by Municipal Corporation Zone 3 to confiscate the toy train that was being operated illegally in Telibandha Lake Marine Drive area. At the same time, the team of Nagar Palika Nigam Headquarters Nagar Nivesh Flying Squad took action to make the traffic smooth and well-organized on various roads by removing about 100 carts and kiosks, keeping in view the public convenience in public interest, in various main roads of all zones of the Municipal Corporation under the guidance of Raipur District Administration and the leadership of Zone Commissioners, with the help of Traffic Police Force. Action was taken on C&D waste by confiscating the building construction materials kept on the roads and due to this, the obstructed road traffic was eased and immediate relief was provided to citizens, drivers, pedestrians. By breaking the illegal blocks made by occupying the drains in various roads, the obstacles to cleaning were removed and the path of smooth cleaning and drainage was paved in public interest for public health safety. Zone 4 conducted a campaign from Budhapara Bijli Office Chowk to City Kotwali Chowk, Jayastambh Chowk, Mahila Police Thana Chowk to Baron Bazaar main road and removed about 20 carts and 5 tables from the road and demolished 4 illegal kiosks. A fine of about Rs 3500 was imposed and the concerned were given advice for the future. Action was taken against C&D waste on Civil Line main road and the concerned was fined Rs 3000. Zone 8 removed building construction materials from 10 different places in Jarwai, Attari area and collected Rs 4000 as road obstruction fee.
2 junk vehicles parked on Hirapur main road were seized by removing them from the road with the help of crane under the guidance of traffic police. Action was taken to remove illegal banners and posters in Raipura. Zone 3 has taken action to remove illegal carts and kiosks in Telibandha Marine Drive under the campaign of Team Prahari. Public complaints were being received about the operators of illegal carts and kiosks spreading dirt and garbage there, which was found to be true and strict action was taken to remove them. At the same time, the goods of carts and kiosks placed on the road from Shaheed Bhagat Singh Chowk to Shankar Nagar main road from TV tower to overbridge were seized and strict instructions were given to the concerned for the future. Zone 10 removed carts from Rajendra Nagar main road at 3 places. Zone 6 removed 7 carts and kiosks from the road from Siddharth Chowk to Pachpedinaka Chowk and took action to remove C&D waste at one place in Rawatpura Phase-1 area. Illegal banners and posters were removed at Pachpedinaaka Chowk. Zone 5 conducted a campaign from Lakhenagar Chowk to Aamapara Chowk to free the main road from encroachment. Zone 2 took action to remove illegal carts and kiosks from the road near Mekahara Chowk. Zone 1 took action to remove the obstruction to cleanliness by breaking the illegal barriers built by encroaching the drains near Khamtarai Chowk. On the instructions of the Commissioner, the campaign will continue in future as well.
