Today, Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Raipur, Abinash Mishra, reached Municipal Corporation Zone 6 office and reviewed the works of the zone and gave necessary instructions in the presence of Ward Councilor Sarita Verma, Chandrapal Dhangar, Councilor Representative Jaimohan Sahu, Additional Commissioner Vinod Pandey, Superintendent Engineer Rajesh Sharma, Zone 6 Zone Commissioner Ramesh Jaiswal, Executive Engineer Atul Chopra, Executive Engineer Water Shri Narsingh Farendra, Executive Engineer Amrit Mission Anshul Sharma, Zone Health Officer Sanjeev Sharma and other zone officers. During the review, Commissioner Abinash Mishra directed the zone officers to ensure immediate redressal of public complaints received from public representatives and citizens at the zone level. The Commissioner directed to take action by running continuous campaigns on illegal constructions, illegal plotting, illegal encroachments, construction works being done without permission in the zone area. The Commissioner directed to give top priority to the task of maximizing revenue collection in the interest of the Municipal Corporation.
The Commissioner directed the officers of the Revenue Department that in the interest of the Municipal Corporation, as per the decision of the Municipal Corporation, a special discount of 6.25 percent will be given on payment of property tax by the end of June and thereafter 5 percent discount from July to September 2024 and 4 percent discount from October to December 2024 on payment of property tax, so that the property taxpayer citizens can take full desired benefit of this special discount by paying the property tax.
The Commissioner took information about the campaign for cleaning of drains and sewers before the monsoon and directed to ensure cleaning of drains and sewers to establish proper drainage before the monsoon. The Commissioner directed to ensure improvement by monitoring the drinking water system and street light maintenance system. The Commissioner discussed about reusing the water of Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) and gave necessary instructions to the concerned officers.
The Commissioner discussed with the Ward Councillors present during this period about drinking water, sanitation system, street light maintenance system and took information about their wards and directed the Zone Commissioner and Executive Engineer to solve the public problems related to this at the zone level immediately.
