Raipur, 08 May 2025: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today made a surprise visit to the village panchayat Chhindiya under Baikunthpur Janpad Panchayat of Koriya district on the occasion of Sushasan Tihar and met the villagers cordially. When the Chief Minister’s helicopter suddenly landed in the primary school premises of the village, this scene created an atmosphere of surprise and enthusiasm among the villagers. The villagers traditionally welcomed him with bouquets made of local flowers and leaves. Chief Minister Sai held a Chaupal under the shade of a Kosam tree located in the school premises, where he started the meeting with the slogan of Bharat Mata Ki Jai and established a cordial dialogue with the villagers present. Underlining the basic objective of Sushasan Tihar, he made it clear that this festival is a medium to bring the government closer to the people, so that the benefits of the government schemes reach the last person. Chief Minister Sai gave detailed information about major public welfare schemes like Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Mahtari Vandan Yojana and also received feedback from the villagers about the impact of these schemes.

In the Chaupal, the villagers shared various local problems and requirements with the Chief Minister, who listened to them seriously and made several announcements. He announced the construction of a sub-health center building in Chhindiya village so that health services can be made available to the villagers. He also immediately approved the construction of two CC roads in the village, a community building and a culvert in ward number 17. Chief Minister Sai assured that the government is working with the spirit of development and service in every corner of the state and he himself is taking stock of the situation by coming down to the ground level so that no village or person is deprived of the government schemes.

Chief Minister Sai said that the priority of the Chhattisgarh government is to ensure the reach of good governance to rural areas. Listening to the problems by sitting in the village Chaupals and solving them on the spot is a part of our good governance government. He urged the villagers to take maximum advantage of the government schemes and inspire other villagers by becoming aware themselves. The villagers were very happy to have Chief Minister Sai among them in this unexpected visit. The villagers expressed their heartfelt gratitude to Chief Minister Sai for the cordial meeting and said that this is the first time that a Chief Minister of the state has come directly to their village and listened to them without any formality by sitting on a cot. This initiative has reduced the distance between the government and the public and has further strengthened the faith of the people in the government.
