Irrigation works of Bastar region will accelerate
Raipur, 15 April 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai has given a big gift to Bastar Division today. He inaugurated the Chief Engineer Office of Water Resources Department in Jagdalpur. With the start of this office, the departmental work of all the seven districts of Bastar Division will be greatly facilitated. Survey, DPR preparation and technical approval of construction works related to water resources will accelerate. Earlier one had to go to Raipur for approval of these works. Now these works will be done in the divisional headquarters Bastar itself. Approval has also been given in the budget for the appointment of officers and employees at various levels in the new office of Chief Engineer of Water Resources Department, started with the special initiative of Water Resources Minister Kedar Kashyap. At present, this office is being operated on the upper floor of Indravati Project Mandal Building, Superintending Engineer Office, Jagdalpur. On the occasion of inauguration of Chief Engineer Water Resources Office, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma, Water Resources Minister Kedar Kashyap, MP Bastar Mahesh Kashyap, MLA Jagdalpur Kiran Singh Dev, MLA Chitrakoot Vinayak Goyal, Municipal Corporation Mayor Sanjay Pandey and District Panchayat President Mrs. Vedmati Kashyap, Finance Commission Chairman Niwas Rao Maddi along with many public representatives, Chief Engineer in charge of Water Resources Department and Superintending Engineer K.S. Bhandari and officers and employees of Water Resources Department were present.
