Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai Visited The Psycho Development Center

Heartfelt meeting with special children, said – this is true service to humanity

Raipur 28 March 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today visited the Manovikaas Kendra operating in the Krishi Upaj Mandi premises in Balodabazar. He had a heartfelt conversation with the children with special needs and inquired about their progress and received feedback from the parents. Seeing the yoga, music and cultural activities presented by the children, the Chief Minister was overwhelmed and praised their talent wholeheartedly. Chief Minister Sai praised the administrative initiative to reuse the building that was earlier a Covid center as a Manovikaas Kendra and termed it an exemplary model. He said that such efforts promote the feeling of inclusiveness and compassion in the society. This is true service to humanity. On this occasion, special child Shesh Sahu mesmerized Chief Minister Sai by reciting the Gayatri Mantra, while Somnath Sahu presented Jasgeet to the beats of the dholak. Apart from this, Chief Minister Sai specially appreciated the Surya Namaskar yoga performance presented by Neelkamal, Pushkar, Somnath and Shesh and said that it is a proof of the physical and mental empowerment of children.

Manovikas Kendra: A confluence of dedication, sensitivity and empowerment Balodabazar’s Manovikas Kendra, started in January 2025, has emerged as an ideal institution for the overall development and rehabilitation of children with special needs. This center is being run from the CSR fund of Ambuja Adani Cement Plant, and is currently providing special education, medical support, vocational training and skill development facilities to more than 40 children. Here children are being guided towards becoming self-reliant through training like physiotherapy, speech and behavior therapy, psychological counseling, sewing, computer literacy, gardening as well as sports and cultural activities. On this occasion, Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma, Municipal Council President Ashok Jain, Dr. Sanam Jangde, Anand Yadav, Senior Superintendent of Police Vijay Agarwal and many public representatives and officials were present.
