Raipur, 03 April 2025: Yoga is the biggest medium to balance the soul, mind and body. Our Prime Minister Narendra Modi established yoga on the world stage and today the whole world is achieving health by adopting this ancient discipline of India. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said this while addressing the oath taking ceremony of the newly elected Chairman of Chhattisgarh Yoga Commission, Rupnarayan Sinha today. Chairman Rupnarayan Sinha took oath today in a dignified ceremony organized at Deendayal Upadhyay Auditorium in the capital Raipur with Vedic chanting in the presence of Chief Minister Sai. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai greeted the saints and received their blessings. Chief Minister Sai, while wishing the newly appointed Chairman of Yoga Commission Sinha, said that Sinha has got the big responsibility of connecting and keeping Chhattisgarh healthy. His social life dedicated to public service and his long experience of organisational responsibilities will benefit the people of the state along with the Yoga Commission. The journey of the Yoga Commission, established in 2017, has been spectacular so far and it will set new records under the leadership of Sinha.

Chief Minister Sai said that yoga in India is the gift of sages and they are also the carriers of this beautiful tradition. Yoga is a physical, mental and spiritual practice and it means to join or unite, which is a symbol of union of body and consciousness. He said that due to the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, this consciousness in the form of yoga spread all over the world and the United Nations recognized 21 June as International Yoga Day. Sai said that yoga is prevalent in various forms all over the world and its popularity is constantly increasing. On this occasion, the Chief Minister appealed to everyone and said that we should include yoga in our daily routine for a healthy body and mind and explain its importance to the future generation by connecting them with yoga. Addressing the program, newly appointed Chairman of Yoga Commission Rupnarayan Sinha said that yoga is for everyone and works to connect everyone. While working in the organization, I have always worked to connect people and today I have been given a big responsibility to connect everyone through the Yoga Commission. Sinha said that there are many important resources available in nature, but the best among them is human resources. The Chief Minister has entrusted me with the responsibility of keeping human resources healthy and to achieve this, our aim is to make yoga reach the masses. Our Prime Minister regularly practices yoga. Today the whole world is aware of his energy and efficiency. Sinha shared his views on the worldwide popularity and relevance of yoga. On this occasion, Social Welfare Minister Smt. Laxmi Rajwada, Revenue Minister Tankaram Verma, former Governor Ramesh Bais, MLA Guru Khushwant Saheb, MLA Motilal Sahu, MLA Sampat Agarwal, MLA Anuj Sharma, Dr. Rampratap Singh, Sanjay Srivastava, Mahamandaleshwar Hariharanand Maharaj, Pujya Sant Udaynath Ji Maharaj, Vasu Devanand Ji Maharaj, Secretary of Social Welfare Department Bhuvnesh Yadav, Director Social Welfare Smt. Roktima Yadav along with revered saints, yoga acharyas and dignitaries were present.
