Chief Minister Sai Inaugurated The Chhattisgarh Silver Festival Photo Exhibition

Raipur: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai inaugurated the “Azadi Ki Garh-Gatha” photo exhibition organized under the Silver Jubilee Year 2025 of the establishment of Chhattisgarh State by cutting the ribbon in the Art Gallery of Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum in the capital Raipur. On this occasion, Raipur Rural MLA Motilal Sahu, Raipur North MLA Purandar Mishra, Arang MLA Khuswant Saheb, State Food Civil and Supplies Corporation Chairman Sanjay Srivastava, Hairstyle Board Chairman Ms. Mona Sen, Minority Commission Chairman Amarjeet Chhabra, Chhattisgarh Sahitya Academy President Shashank Sharma were present. Chief Minister Sai praised the photo exhibition and said that this exhibition is very informative. Special efforts need to be made to ensure that the story of our freedom fighters and their contribution reaches the common citizen.

The theme of this photo exhibition organized by the Culture Department is “Azadi Ki Garh-Gatha”, which reflects the inspiring and glorious tradition of the struggle of Chhattisgarhis in the freedom movement. It specially has a live depiction of hero of Paralkot rebellion (1825) Shaheed Gaind Singh, documents related to arrest and hanging of first martyr of Chhattisgarh Veer Narayan Singh in the revolution of 1857, Shaheed Surendra Sai, great hero of 1910 movement Shaheed Gundadhur, Kandel Canal Satyagraha (1920), arrival of Mahatma Gandhi in Chhattisgarh, immortal brave martyr freedom fighters of the state and other events related to freedom movement. This exhibition will be open for visitors till August 19 from 10 am to 5 pm every day.
