Raipur 23 February 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today attended the closing ceremony of the All India Gold Cup Football Competition in the memory of late Dilip Singh Judev at Ranjit Stadium in Jashpur. Addressing the program, he said that meaningful efforts are being made to advance the players of the state in the field of sports. Under Chhattisgarh Government Khelo India, players will be given a reward of Rs 3 crore for winning gold medal in Olympics, Rs 2 crore for winning silver medal and Rs 1 crore for winning bronze medal. He announced the renovation of Ranjita Stadium.

The Chief Minister gave his hearty congratulations and best wishes to the players participating in the football competition from 16 states across the country. The Chief Minister encouraged the players while getting introduced to them. The competition was started from 8 February to 23 February 2025. On this occasion, Jashpur MLA Smt. Raimuni Bhagat, Vice President of Surguja Area Tribal Development Authority and Pathalgaon MLA Smt. Gomti Sai, Municipal Council President Arvind Bhagat, newly elected councilors Yash Pratap Singh Judev, Shaurya Pratap Singh Judev, Shanti Bhagat, councilors Faijan Sarwar, Om Prakash, Naresh Nande and a large number of public representatives, players, coaches and sports lovers were present in large numbers.

National level football teams from 16 states across the country participated in the competition. The teams include Down-Town Jammu Kashmir, Kalighat Football Club West Bengal, Shell Football Academy Bokaro Jharkhand, YDC Manipur, YMFC Buxar Bihar, MFG Bangalore Karnataka, Century Cement Mumbai, Maharashtra, Army Artillery Centre Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, FC Avadh Uttarakhand, Rourkela Red Odisha, Mallapuram FC, Kerala, Lucca FC Kerala and Jashpur team. This competition is proving to be a great event for football lovers, which has won the hearts of football players and spectators from all over the country. The Chief Minister enjoyed the final match between Railway Nagpur and MEG Bangalore and gave his hearty congratulations and best wishes to the organizing committee for the successful organization. The final match was played on Sunday, 23 February, between Madras Engineering Group, MEG Bangalore, which reached the final by defeating Maa Kamakhya Sports Club Buxar in the first semi-final of the competition, and South Eastern Central Railway Nagpur, which defeated Sea-Land Kerala 4-1 in the second semi-final on Friday. After a long gap of five years, the city dwellers got the opportunity to be thrilled by watching the players of national teams playing in Ranjita Stadium once again. Sports lovers from the city and the surrounding rural areas enjoyed watching this football match.
