At present, ‘Vikasit Krishi Sankalp Abhiyan’ is going on from 29 May to 12 June 2025 in the whole country including Chhattisgarh. The main objective of this campaign is to connect scientists directly with the farmers and give information about new agricultural techniques, government schemes and successful agricultural models. 100 groups of agricultural scientists are communicating with farmers in different areas of Chhattisgarh. The country’s successful Prime Minister Narendra Modi had guaranteed during the assembly elections that if the government is formed in the state, the farmers will be given the bonus due for two years. Fulfilling this, we transferred the amount to the farmers’ accounts as soon as the government was formed. In accordance with Modi ji’s guarantee, paddy is being purchased from farmers in Chhattisgarh at the rate of Rs 3,100 per quintal and 21 quintals per acre. Arrangements have also been made for collecting milk so that farmers do not face any problem in selling milk. The Chief Minister informed that a processing plant is being set up in Dantewada district to promote the cultivation of millets (Kodo, Kutki and Ragi). This grain was earlier considered the food of the poor, but now it is becoming popular among the upper class due to its nutritious content.
