Chhattisgarh Will Get A New Assembly Building In The Silver Jubilee Year – Chief Minister Say

Assembly building construction work in the final stage, will be formally inaugurated on the scheduled time

Raipur 3 August 2025: The work of Chhattisgarh Assembly building under construction in Nava Raipur is reaching its final stage at a rapid pace. Today Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh and Deputy Chief Minister and Public Works Minister Arun Saw reached the assembly building site and inspected the progress of the construction work. He gave clear instructions to the officials that the work should be completed by the stipulated deadline, September 2025, at all costs, so that it can be dedicated to the public on the occasion of Rajyotsav (1 November). Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that this is the silver jubilee year of Chhattisgarh state, which will be celebrated with great enthusiasm. The construction work of the new assembly building is now moving towards completion. On the silver jubilee year, the state will get a new, grand assembly building. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been invited for the Rajyotsav program, and it is proposed to inaugurate this new assembly building with his lotus hands.

Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh said that the construction of the new assembly building has now reached its final stage. Today, the progress of construction was inspected by observing the Assembly House, the Speaker’s chamber, the Chief Minister’s chamber and the entire complex. The new assembly building will be formally inaugurated at the scheduled time. The new assembly building has a proper inclusion of Chhattisgarh’s rich cultural identity, traditional architecture and modern facilities. Three major wings are being constructed in the building – Wing-A will house the Assembly Secretariat, Wing-B will house the Assembly House and Central Hall including the offices of the Chief Minister and the Speaker of the Assembly, and Wing-C will house the offices of the Deputy Chief Ministers and other ministers.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw said that the new assembly building will not only be a government structure, but will also become a symbol of Chhattisgarh’s cultural grandeur and glory. Built in an area of 52 acres, this new assembly building will be a grand complex equipped with modern technical features and cultural beauty. The house will have a seating capacity of 200 MLAs as well as a state-of-the-art auditorium with a capacity of 500 spectators. Parking facility for 700 vehicles is being arranged in the premises and two proposed lakes, each in an area of one and a half acres, will be developed. After completion of construction, this building will not only give new heights to the prestige of Chhattisgarh, but will also be established as an example across the country due to its unique architectural style and advanced facilities. Ajay Jamwal, Pawan Sai, Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister Subodh Kumar Singh, Secretary of Public Works Department Dr. Kamalpreet Singh, Chief Engineer V.K. Bhatpahari were present during the inspection.
