Chhattisgarh hoisted the flag in the National Muay Thai Championship

Raipur. Sports Minister Tankaram Verma has congratulated and wished the players of Chhattisgarh on their excellent performance in the National Muay Thai Championship. The players who won medals in this championship reached the capital Raipur today and paid a courtesy visit to Sports Minister Shri Verma at his residence office. Sports Minister Verma encouraged the players and congratulated and wished all the medal winners. He encouraged the players who performed remarkably in the competition and boosted their morale.

It is worth noting that the Muay Thai Championship was organized from 25 to 30 May 2024 at the Stadium Tepesia, Guwahati of Lakshmibai National Institute of Physical Education, Assam. In this competition, 04 players from Chhattisgarh won gold medals and 03 players won bronze medals. Muay Thai sport is recognized by the International Olympics and has been included as a demonstration in the Paris Olympics-2024. About 850 players and officials from 29 states participated in this national championship.

The gold medal winners in the National Muay Thai Championship include Rajkumar, Divya Agarwal, Toshi Pandey and Samidha Agarwal. Similarly, the bronze medal winners include Shubhnsh Manikpuri, Praveen Jaiswal and Archit Keshwani. Apart from this, Jai Kumar, Aryan Patel, Bhavjot Singh performed brilliantly and reached the quarter finals. In this competition, 10 players of Vivekanand Martial Arts Fitness Club, Devendra Nagar, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, performed brilliantly under the leadership of coach Shri Aman Yadav and brought laurels to the state of Chhattisgarh by winning the maximum of 4 gold medals and 3 bronze medals.
