Raipur. Chhattisgarh State Tax (GST) Department has launched “e-Scrutiny” portal by taking a new initiative using information and technology. This portal has been prepared by the diary room and computer room of State Tax Headquarters, Nava Raipur on the initiative of Shri Rajat Bansal, Commissioner, State Tax, Chhattisgarh, under which the reporting of actions taken under Section 61 and Section 73 and / or Section 74 of the GST Act by the appropriate officers of the field offices is to be done online.
In the initial phase, under “e-Scrutiny”, “Scrutiny Module” is ready and has been made live and “Adjudication Module” is being prepared. This will not only monitor the work being done by the departmental officers, but the monthly diary submitted by such officers will also be online and the data obtained from it in analytics will be used in the interest of revenue.
Apart from this, the “e-scrutiny” module will also prove to be effective in resolving the practical problems faced by the traders of the state.
It is worth noting that some such cases had come to the notice of the State Tax Commissioner in which notices were issued by more than one officer at different times in the case of the same businessman in the same period, after which the Commissioner, keeping in mind the need of the “e-scrutiny” module, has implemented it with immediate effect.
