Raipur. Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh has given necessary guidelines to all the police gazetted officers of Raipur Police, station in-charges including in-charge anti-crime and cyber units, to detect and take action against black drug dealers and to curb it effectively. On which all the police gazetted officers, station in-charges and the team of anti-crime and cyber units are collecting information regarding drug dealers by employing informers, patrolling and collecting information.
In the same sequence, on February 6, the Narcotics Cell formed under the Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit received information that some people were coming to Abhanpur to sell ganja in a bus coming from Jagdalpur. On which senior officers, after verifying the information, the in-charge Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and in-charge of police station Abhanpur were directed to catch the accused red-handed with ganja, that the joint team of Anti-Crime and Cyber Unit and police station Abhanpur will trace the persons. Initially, the persons were caught by marking village Chandi Mode pass under Abhanpur police station area. During interrogation, the persons revealed their names to be Sahil Kumar Valmiki, Piyush Chokse and Karan Rekbar alias Kalu resident of Bhopal (MP). When the team members searched the bag kept with them, it was found that ganja was kept in the bag. On which the team members arrested the three accused and seized 7 kg of Ganja Jumla worth approximately Rs 1,05,000 from their possession and action was taken against the accused by registering crime number 62/2024 under Section 20B Narcotics Act in Abhanpur police station.
