Decisions of the Council of Ministers dated – 30 June 2025: Many important decisions were taken in the cabinet meeting held here today at Mantralaya Mahanadi Bhawan under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai –
1 The Council of Ministers has taken a major decision in the interest of farmers. The scope of the Krishak Unnati Yojana has been further expanded by amending the prevailing instructions. Now the benefit of this scheme will be available to paddy producing farmers in Kharif 2025 as well as farmers who plant pulses, oilseeds, maize etc. in place of registered paddy crop. Farmers registered in Kharif 2024 who had planted paddy crop and sold paddy at the support price, if they cultivate pulses, oilseeds, maize etc. crops instead of paddy crop in Kharif 2025, then they will also be provided input assistance under the Krishak Unnati Yojana.
2 Taking an important decision in the interest of the officers and employees of the Chhattisgarh Government, the Council of Ministers approved the draft of the Bill-2025 regarding the formation of Chhattisgarh Pension Fund and its Management and Regulation for better financial management of pension payment obligations at the time of retirement in future.
3 The Council of Ministers approved the draft of the Bill-2025 regarding the formation of Chhattisgarh Growth and Stability Fund and its Management and Regulation to ensure long-term economic development and fiscal stability of the state. This will provide proper management of abnormal increase/decrease in the state’s revenue and financial security during economic recession.
4 The Council of Ministers approved the draft of Chhattisgarh State Logistics Policy-2025 for the overall development of the logistics sector in the state. With this policy, Chhattisgarh state will develop as a logistics hub and will strengthen the export infrastructure. Taking advantage of the geographical location of the state, national and multinational companies of logistics sector and e-commerce will be attracted for investment for setting up logistics hubs. The storage capacity of the state will increase, which will provide cheap storage facilities to the industries, traders and farmers of the state. Reduction in the cost of logistics in the state will promote trade, investment and economic development. Encouraging the establishment of dry port / inland container depot through this policy will provide an opportunity to micro, small and medium industries and local producers to reach export markets. An eco-system will be created for the export of the state’s abundant forest resources, forest produce and forest medicinal products. This policy will also create new employment opportunities for the youth of the state as well as establish the state in a leading role in the logistics and export sector.
5 Taking important decisions, the Council of Ministers approved the draft of Chhattisgarh Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Bill-2025 to decriminalize the provisions of some laws of the state. The Jan Vishwas Bill will increase the ease of doing business and living. There will be a reduction in unnecessary judicial cases and the expenditure incurred in them.
6 The Council of Ministers has approved 7 schemes under the Redevelopment Scheme for the systematic development and proper use of previously constructed and dilapidated buildings of various departments/corporations/mandals/companies/boards of the state and the unused government land owned by them. These include Shanti Nagar Raipur, BTI Shankar Nagar Raipur, Kailash Nagar Rajnandgaon, Chandni Chowk Phase-2 Jagdalpur, Civil Line Kanker, Club Para Mahasamund, Katghora Korba.
7 The Council of Ministers decided to fix the minimum qualifying service of 05 years for promotion from high class registration clerk/record keeper to the post of third class executive, sub-registrar under the Commercial Tax (Registration) Department to 02 years only for one time.
