Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai attended the Lord Parshuram Janmotsav program
Raipur 3 May 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today attended the Lord Parshuram Janmotsav program at Danganiya in the capital Raipur. On this occasion, he prayed for the happiness, prosperity and well-being of the people of the state by worshiping the Lord Parshuram temple with due rituals. Chief Minister Sai said that the Brahmin community has always worked to give knowledge and culture to the society. He wished everyone on the occasion of Lord Parshuram Janmotsav and said that Lord Parshuram is the sixth incarnation of Vishnu. He said that Chhattisgarh is the maternal home of Lord Shri Ram and Lord Shri Ram is our nephew. The construction of Ramlala temple is a matter of pride and faith for the people of Chhattisgarh. Under the ‘Shri Ramlala Darshan Yojana’, so far 22,000 devotees have visited Ramlala in Ayodhya. Apart from this, the Chief Minister Tirthdarshan Yojana has also been started, in which devotees will be able to visit various pilgrimage sites at government expense.
Chief Minister Sai further said that Chhattisgarh is a state rich in natural resources, which is called the rice bowl and 44 percent of the land area is covered with forests. A decisive battle is being fought against Naxalism. Our government has resolved to make the state completely free from Naxalism by March 31, 2026. He informed that the government has prepared a strong ‘vision document’ for development and a new industrial policy has been implemented. Corruption is being effectively controlled through digitalization, and strict action is being ensured against the culprits. Keeping in mind the goal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Developed India by 2047’, we are committed to building a ‘developed Chhattisgarh’. The participation of Brahmin society is also very important in this direction.
The Chief Minister said that our government has implemented the guarantee of Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the ground in a short period of one and a half years. Whether it is providing houses under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana or getting farmers the price of paddy at the rate of Rs 3100 per quintal—we have worked for the welfare of every section. A new record has been set by purchasing tendu leaves at Rs 5500 per standard sack for the tribal society in Bastar and Surguja.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said in his address that under the leadership of Chief Minister Sai, the work of purification of processes, institutions and actions is going on in Chhattisgarh. The state is emerging as a preferred destination for investment. There has been significant progress in the direction of skill upgradation, transparency and good governance. A CBI inquiry is going on in the corruption in PSC, and many culprits are behind bars. He said that Brahmin society is a progressive society, which has always welcomed discussions and ideas. On this occasion, Mahant Vedprakashacharya, MLA Motilal Sahu, Anuj Sharma, Sushant Shukla, Raipur Mayor Mrs. Meenal Choubey, Child Protection Commission Chairman Dr. Varnika Sharma, Sahitya Academy Chairman Shashank Sharma, Mrs. Suman Ashok Pandey, Chhattisgarh Progressive Brahmin Society Chairman Shivanjal Shiv Govind Sharma and many other dignitaries were present.
