Raipur, 10 August 2025: The effective implementation of Next Gen E-Hospital, Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission and Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana in Bastar division is proving to be a big change for the region. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai is continuously making meaningful efforts towards the strong expansion of health services in Bastar division. Under the continuous guidance of Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal, the health services of the state are today moving in step with technology. Next Gen e-Hospital system is being successfully operated in six district hospitals, two civil hospitals and 41 community health centers of Bastar, due to which OPD registration, consultation, investigation, medicine distribution and all the health related information of patients are now available on a digital platform. Under this, patients are getting better and timely services. This inclusion of digital technology has significantly increased transparency, efficiency and patient satisfaction in hospitals.

Under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, Health Facility Registration (HFR) of hospitals and Health Professional Registration (HPR) of doctors and nursing staff have been ensured. By setting up Aabha kiosks in hospital premises, patients are being given the facility to create Ayushman Bharat Health Account (Aabha). With the facility of online OPD registration through Scan and Share and Aabha ID, patients have got relief from long queues and they are getting quick services. The impact of digital innovations has also been clearly visible. A total of 60,045 OPD registrations were recorded in District Hospital Bastar during May, June and July 2025, of which 32,379 registrations were done through Abha Link — which is 53% of the total registrations. During the same period, 33,895 OPD registrations were recorded in District Hospital Dantewada, of which 13,729 registrations were linked to Abha — i.e. digital integration of 40%.

This entire process is not only ensuring time saving but also providing the facility of digital health records for patients, which they can view anytime in any part of the country. This is also increasing transparency in the healthcare system as well as continuity and quality of treatment. Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai said that the successful implementation of modern technologies like Next Gen e-Hospital and Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission in Bastar division has given new momentum and direction to health services. Patients are getting timely, accessible and quality treatment through digital registration, health records and transparent service system. This initiative is an exemplary model not only for Bastar but for the entire state, which we will soon implement in all the districts of the state and realize the resolution of “Healthy and Strong Chhattisgarh”.

Health Minister Shyam Bihari Jaiswal said that this technological upgradation of health services in Bastar division by the Chhattisgarh government is not only proving useful for the local people, but it is emerging as an exemplary model for the entire state. The goal of the state government is to move strongly towards “Healthy and Strong Chhattisgarh” by strongly implementing this system in all the districts. It is noteworthy that this initiative in the field of health facilities is not only limited to the digitization of health services, but it is a powerful medium to connect people of rural and remote areas with quality medical facilities. The positive results found in Bastar are proof of the fact that when technology, administrative will and public participation come together, the pace of development increases manifold. This initiative will not only bring about transformation in health services but will also ensure Chhattisgarh’s important contribution in building a ‘healthy India’.
