Raipur 14 April 2025: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar, another guarantee of Modi is going to be fulfilled in Chhattisgarh. Cash payment and other digital services will be started in 1460 gram panchayats of the state from 24 April, Panchayat Day. In the presence of Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, MoU was signed for “Atal Panchayat Digital Suvidha Kendra” in 10-10 gram panchayats of each development block of the state. In these facility centers, villagers will now be able to get many facilities under one roof. They will be able to easily withdraw money from their account, send money from their account to someone else’s account, pay electricity and water bills and avail many facilities like pension and insurance in their panchayats itself. An MoU was signed today between the service providers of Common Service Center and Sarpanchs for Atal Panchayat Digital Suvidha Kendra. This program was organized in all the district headquarters of the state. With the opening of these Suvidha Kendras, villagers will not have to go to the development block and district headquarters for small tasks. They will be able to avail many facilities in the village itself.
Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai, while addressing the program organized in the district headquarters through video conferencing from his residential office, said that today is a historic day for Chhattisgarh. We are going to fulfill one more guarantee of Modi’s guarantee. During the assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had promised the people of Chhattisgarh to start the facility of cash payment in Gram Panchayats, which is now going to be fulfilled. Chief Minister Sai said that we have fulfilled most of the promises of Modi’s guarantee in just one and a quarter years. Whether it is paddy purchase for farmers at Rs 3100 or paddy bonus of the last two years, Mahtari Vandan Yojana for women, Ramlala Darshan for the elderly, re-start of Chief Minister Tirth Darshan Yojana, or the promise of giving Rs 10 thousand annually to 5 lakh 62 thousand agricultural laborers. Chief Minister Sai said that from these facility centers starting in Gram Panchayats, farmers will be able to get payment of paddy, Mahtari Vandan Yojana, pension and other schemes, as well as will be able to avail other facilities including birth-death certificate. Name of every needy and eligible person should be included in the list of housing survey, should get the benefits of the scheme Chief Minister Sai said that it is the dream of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi that everyone should have a permanent house. During the tenure of the previous government, 18 lakh beneficiaries were deprived of housing. On the second day of taking oath, we approved 18 lakh houses in the cabinet meeting. So far, we have received 14 lakh houses from the Centre. Two days ago, Union Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that three and a half lakh houses are going to be approved for Chhattisgarh. To ensure that everyone gets housing, we have increased the scope of eligibility in the “Awas Plus Plus” survey, so that everyone’s dream of having a house can be fulfilled. He appealed to all the public representatives associated with the program that the survey of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Plus Plus is being done from 15th April to 30th April. Names of all needy and eligible beneficiaries should be included in the list of this survey, so that they can get the benefits of the scheme. Appeal for water harvesting in every village Chief Minister Shri Vishnudev Sai has expressed serious concern over the falling groundwater level in the state. He appealed to adopt water harvesting to promote water conservation in every village.
Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma said that Atal Panchayat Digital Suvidha Kendra will prove to be a milestone in promoting financial facilities in panchayats. These will certainly make it possible to book railway tickets at one place or to withdraw scholarship or pension amount in the gram panchayats. With this, we can fulfill the resolution of making the gram panchayats self-reliant. Sharma said that the falling level of groundwater in the state is very worrying. For this, a separate SOP is being issued by the department to increase the groundwater level in every village. We will work by preparing an action plan to increase the water level. He urged the people present to take a pledge to work to increase the groundwater level. He informed that on April 15, Chief Minister Sai will launch the survey campaign of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin. During this, MPs, MLAs, District Panchayat and Janpad Panchayats’ President, Vice-President, Members, Sarpanch and newly elected public representatives were present in large numbers in the district headquarters.
In the program, the Panchayats which already have PMAY-G Panchayat Ambassadors were specially invited and honored. In the Panchayats where no PMAY-G Panchayat Ambassador has been appointed so far, a suitable person will be selected and appointed as Ambassador. In the program, information about the ongoing survey special fortnight “More Duwar Say Sarkar” Mahabhiyan (15 April to 30 April) under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin (PMAY-G) was given to the beneficiaries. Along with this, information was given regarding the groundwater level of the Gram Panchayats and the public representatives were made to take a pledge to make water harvesting.
