Chhattisgarh: the big rally of Chhattisgarh Congress, which was to be held in Bilaspur, has been stopped. This rally was named ‘Samvidhan Bachao’ and senior Congress leader Sachin Pilot was also going to attend it. Party insiders said that this decision has been taken in view of the situation in the country. The terrorist attack in Jammu and Kashmir and the subsequent army action, due to all this, Congress has decided to stop the rally. This rally was earlier being handled by former minister Umesh Patel and was to be held in the entire state, starting from Bilaspur.
Congress is saying that Prime Minister Modi’s sudden change of stance on caste census is a kind of political move. They allege that earlier BJP people used to call this census a conspiracy to break the country, and now they are calling it a great success. Congress wanted to celebrate it on a large scale considering it as their victory, that is why this rally was held. The party said that this decision has come from above, and the rally has now been postponed indefinitely. Its new date will be announced only when the situation improves.
