Chief Minister attended the Mahasabha of Kanwar-Pankara Samaj in Khallari
Announcement of development works worth Rs 55 lakh
Raipur, 10 April 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today attended the Adivasi Kanwar-Pankara Samaj Mahasabha and Annual Convention organized in Khallari village of Mahasamund district. On this special occasion, the Chief Minister was warmly welcomed by the representatives of the Kanwar community with traditional tribal customs. The Chief Minister inaugurated the Mahasabha by lighting a lamp in front of the statue of Mother Saraswati. On this occasion, the Chief Minister started his address with the slogans of Khallari Mai, Bharat Mata, Chhattisgarh Mahtari, Ram Janaki Bhagwan and Kanwar Samaj. Expressing gratitude to the society, he prayed at Mata Khallari and Ram Janaki Temple and wished for the prosperity of the state. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai bowed to the land of forest satyagrahis and said that I have come to seek the blessings of all of you. On this occasion, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the martyrs of Jungle Satyagraha and honoured their family members by presenting shawls and coconuts. On this occasion, he announced development works worth Rs 55 lakh, which include Rs 20 lakh for construction of shed in Ram-Janaki temple premises, Rs 25 lakh for construction of hostel of Kanwar Samaj and Rs 10 lakh for construction of fully equipped toilets. The Chief Minister said that President Draupadi Murmu belongs to the tribal society. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is continuously working for the welfare of the tribes. PM Janman Yojana and Dharti Aba Gram Utkarsh Yojana have been started for the development and welfare of tribals and special backward tribes. He appealed to the society to give priority to education and take steps towards de-addiction. Chief Minister Sai called upon the youth of the society to become self-reliant by taking advantage of skill development and government schemes.
The Chief Minister said that many development works have been done by our government in 15 months. Immediately after the swearing-in, 18 lakh Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana were approved, out of which 14 lakh houses have been completed. The Prime Minister inaugurated 3 lakh houses in a single day. 21 quintals of paddy was purchased per acre from the farmers and Rs 12 thousand crore was provided as the difference in the price of paddy. 70 lakh women are being benefited under the Mahtari Vandan Yojana. Those whose names have been left out will also be added. The Chief Minister also gave information about the schemes run for tendu leaf collectors, Ramlala Darshan Yojana, and Chief Minister’s Teerth Yatra Yojana. He said that our government is fulfilling Modi ji’s guarantee. He informed that Awas Plus Survey App has been started, through which those who do not have a house can also get their name added in the survey. He said that our goal is to develop Chhattisgarh. MP Mrs. Roop Kumari Choudhary, Mahasamund MLA Yogeshwar Raju Sinha, former MP Chunni Lal Sahu, former MLA Pritam Singh Dewan, Chhattisgarh Seed Corporation Chairman Chandrahas Chandrakar, Yetram Sahu, State President of Kanwar Paikra Samaj Harbansh Miri, many public representatives and a large number of social workers were present in the program.
