Raipur, 20 March 2025: 120 children from Abujhmad, a remote forest area of Narayanpur district, met Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, Assembly Speaker Dr. Raman Singh, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma and Forest Minister Kedar Kashyap in the Assembly premises today. These children had come on an educational tour of the capital Raipur under the ‘Swami Vivekananda Yuva Protsahan Yojana’. On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai interacted with the children and assured them that the state government is fully committed to the all-round development of Abujhmad. Chief Minister Sai said that Abujhmad remained deprived of the stream of development for years, but our government is ensuring that basic facilities like education, health, roads, electricity and communication reach every village here. Chief Minister Sai said that the government has given top priority to road construction, installation of mobile towers, development of schools and expansion of health facilities in the villages of Abujhmad. He said that to connect Abujhmad with the mainstream, infrastructure is being developed rapidly under the ‘Niyad Nella Nar Yojana’. Chief Minister Sai also informed that in the recent meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah, there was an extensive discussion about the development of the entire Bastar region including Abujhmad. The central and state governments are working together on concrete action plans to provide new opportunities for education and employment in this region.
