A Memorandum Was Submitted To The Superintendent Of Police In Protest Against The Program Of Serving Liquor Publicly

Raipur: State President of Unorganized Sector and Problem Solving Cell Mohd. Siddique and State Congress General Secretary Kanhaiya Agarwal along with Congress workers submitted a memorandum to the Superintendent of Police and complained about the program serving liquor publicly. According to the information received, Sagar Wali Qawwali is being organized on 28 March 2025 at Hukums Lalit Mahal Raipur. Liquor will be served by the organizers in the program. Congress workers warned of a big protest demanding necessary action against this event which is against the culture and encourages drug abuse. Mohd. Siddique said that the Qawwali Mehfil is a good event, but serving liquor publicly is a highly condemnable act and is against the culture of our state. Such programs will encourage drug abuse and increase criminal incidents.

Prominent among those who submitted the memorandum were PCC General Secretary Kanhaiya Agarwal, Cell Vice President Sundar Jogi, PCC Secretary Shabbir Khan, Nandu Sinha, Mukund Kagdelwar, Sharad Gupta, Manoj Yadav, Devendra Pawar and other Congress members!!
