Raipur, June 2025″: The Chhattisgarh government under the leadership of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai is giving top priority to quality education and all-round development of students. In this sequence, a historic initiative is being taken towards developing Bilaspur city as a modern educational hub. The concept of Educational City has been developed in Bilaspur on the guidelines of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai. The use of about 13 acres of land of Bilaspur Municipal Corporation is proposed for this project. Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that Nalanda campus will be established in Bilaspur Educational City, where 500 students will be able to sit together and take advantage of physical and digital library. Along with this, three multi-storey buildings will be constructed, in which a total of 48 hall setups (1 hall, 2 rooms and 1 toilet in 1 setup) will be prepared. In this arrangement, there will be a facility for 4,800 students to attend coaching classes simultaneously.
A modern auditorium with 700 seats will also be constructed for the academic and personality development of the students. At the same time, about 100 students coming from outside will be able to attend coaching classes. Hostel facility will also be built for 1000 students. Astroturf playgrounds and beautiful gardens will also be developed in the Educational City to promote sports and health. Also, there will be multi-level parking for vehicles so that there is no inconvenience in commuting. Chief Minister Sai said that the estimated cost of this ambitious project will be around Rs 100 crore and the action plan for its construction work has been prepared by Municipal Corporation Bilaspur. Construction work will start soon, due to which Bilaspur Educational City will set a new example in the field of education in the state. It is noteworthy that after the formation of the state, Bilaspur city has made remarkable progress in the field of education. The headquarters of SECL and the DRM office of Railways are also located in Bilaspur, due to which this city is making its unique identity not only in Chhattisgarh but in the entire country. More than 100 coaching institutes preparing for prestigious examinations like one central university, two universities, eight colleges, Public Service Commission, Vyapam and IIT are operating here, in which more than 50,000 students of the state are studying.
The Chhattisgarh government places education among its top priorities. It is our unwavering commitment that every student of the state can hone his abilities with modern resources, advanced infrastructure and inspiring environment and can realize his dreams with confidence. The construction of Bilaspur Education City is a historic initiative in this direction. It will not only make Bilaspur the educational hub of Chhattisgarh, but will also give thousands of youth of the state an opportunity to study in high-level facilities and prepare for competitive examinations. Nalanda campus, multi-storey coaching building, digital and physical library, hostels, auditorium, playgrounds and green zone – all these facilities will be dedicated to the all-round development of students. I am confident that this project will take the educational scenario of Chhattisgarh to new heights in the coming years and lead our youth towards a bright future.
