Chief Minister Inaugurated Additional Room In Mungeli District Library, Gave Success Tips To Students

Mungeli, 20 May 2025: Chief Minister Vishnudev Sai today inaugurated the additional room constructed at a cost of Rs 29.90 lakh in the Mungeli District Library. Union Minister of State Tokhan Sahu, Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao, Mungeli MLA Punnulal Mohle and former MP Lakhan Sahu were also present on this occasion. The youth and students enthusiastically greeted the Chief Minister with thunderous applause and flower bouquets. In his address, Chief Minister Sai said, “Education is the real capital of life. Life is incomplete without it. It is not only a means of employment, but also the basis of overall development.” Sharing the struggles of his student life, he told that educational opportunities were limited in the undivided Raigarh district. Natwar School was the only option. He called upon the students to make good use of time, never get disappointed and make hard work their basic mantra. The Chief Minister, while mentioning the five qualities of an ideal student, “Kaak Cheshta Bako Dhyan, Shvan Nidra Tathaiv Cha. Alpahari Grihatyagi, Vidyarthi Panch Lakshan”, inspired the students to become disciplined, hardworking and goal-oriented. In response to a question asked by a student on the impact of social media, he said, “In the digital age, adopt goodness and stay away from evil.” On this occasion, Chief Minister Sai honored the students who performed excellently at the state and district level in the board examinations of class 10th and 12th by presenting them mementoes and certificates. In the program, Top Singh Kumbhakar presented a handmade photograph of his own picture to the Chief Minister.

Bhagwad Gita, booklets and souvenirs were also presented to the Chief Minister on behalf of the students and the district administration. Discussing innovative educational efforts like ‘Prayas’ and ‘Nalanda Campus’, the Chief Minister said that the government is setting up modern libraries in every district, so that the students can get an inspiring environment for study. The Chief Minister said that the library is not only a place of study, but also a center for laying the foundation of success. Praising the District Library Mungeli, he said that hundreds of youth have achieved success in competitive examinations from here, which is a matter of pride. It is worth noting that the Mungeli District Library is open daily from 8 am to 8 pm. There is a rich collection of more than 4780 books here, which include books related to competitive, literary, historical, religious and motivational subjects. Also, national and local newspapers, weekly and monthly magazines are regularly made available to the students for study. At present 893 registered members are taking the services of the library. 32 tables for the students, 11 CCTV cameras and 06 experienced employees are ensuring smooth operation of the library. State Chief Secretary Amitabh Jain, Chief Minister’s Secretary P. Dayanand, Bilaspur Divisional Commissioner Sunil Jain, IG Sanjeev Shukla, Collector Kundan Kumar, Superintendent of Police Bhojram Patel along with administrative officers, district library employees, teachers and a large number of students were present in the program.
