Raipur 06 May 2025: Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai today came to village Sahaspur in Bemetara district on a surprise inspection under Sushasan Tihar. During this, he also visited the green fields of banana and papaya of excellent farmer Rohit Sahu of Sahaspur village. Sahu told the Chief Minister that he has been cultivating banana and papaya for the last 9 years, from which he is earning profits of lakhs and is also giving employment to 15-20 people in his field. Praising farmer Sahu, the Chief Minister said that his farming is inspirational for all farmers.
Farmer Sahu presented fresh banana and papaya from his farm to Chief Minister Say. He told the Chief Minister that he is cultivating banana in 5 acres and papaya in 3.5 acres. Due to which he is earning a profit of Rs 1.5 lakh per acre from banana and up to Rs 1 lakh from papaya. Sahu told the Chief Minister that he is earning more profit from banana and papaya cultivation as compared to paddy. The Chief Minister said that besides paddy, farmers also need to move towards other profitable crops. The soil of Chhattisgarh is very fertile. In this way, farmers will be able to earn more profit from agriculture.
